It’s Only A Crazy Dream Until You Do It.

Serena Williams is now just a few matches away from potentially winning her seventh U.S. Open.  She is an extremely talented athlete who has trained from her youth with the goal to play professional tennis.

Last week, I saw this video featuring Serena and loved it.

Nike released the video last week at the start of the U.S Open.  It begins with Richard Williams coaching his then nine-year-old daughter Serena.

The commercial mixes images of Richard with next to a tiny Serena as he says, “This is you in the U.S. Open.” The future icon bounces the ball and breathes before her serve. The commercial then converts into a montage showing the best athlete in the world dominating her competition.

Her father’s voice continues during the whole commercial until the final scene showing an exuberant Richard celebrating in the stands as Serena wins the U.S. Open.  The video ends with this statement:

“It’s only crazy until you do it.”

What have you dreamed of?  Are you working towards that dream?

Some of you may have dreamed of starting your own property management firm. Is now the time to "Just Do it?"

At Ascent Multifamily Accounting, we talk to experienced property management executives on this very subject all the time.   Two or three decide to make the jump every year that we are lucky enough to help.  They are scared and excited.

In most cases, they already have everything they need to be successful business owners. They know the job requirements, have a reputation for stellar service and have a track record of helping clients maximize their profitability. What they rarely realize is just how much their experience is worth.

Have you thought about breaking away from your current management firm to “Just Do It” and start your own management company? Ascent can be a perfect partner for your new venture. We’ll handle the back office and let you focus on what you do best--managing properties.

How Does It Work?

You get the clients and work with the on-site teams.

Ascent will pay the bills, handle payroll & benefits and manage the financial reporting. You can operate a virtual office when not at the properties, eliminating the need to rent office space or hire any back office staff.

Listen to what one of our clients, says of her experience,

I started my multifamily management company in early 2017, most recently having worked for a large firm where I had responsibility for more than 14,000 units.  I never thought I would have the opportunity to form a management company, largely due to the overhead expense of corporate payroll to sustain standard functions.  After reviewing third party management options, I had an “aha" moment and realized I could outsource many back office departments to minimize overall operating expenses.

After researching accounting firm options,  I turned to Ascent because of their specific accounting expertise in the multifamily industry.  After more than a year, I've come to trust them. They have proven to be reliable, diligent and true to their word.  Outsourcing to Ascent has simplified our processes, allowed us to focus on managing our assets, and provided us the opportunity to maintain reasonable corporate expenses.
